We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, motivated, full time Senior Scientist – Biocatalysis.

Requirements:-

Degree, advanced degree or equivalent scientific qualification in a relevant subject area
Proven experience of biocatalysis with a track record of delivery and creativity Proven problem solver with in-depth technical skills
Functional expertise in applying biocatalysis at gram scale and using synthetic organic chemistry to make substrates/standards as appropriate
Knowledge and application of analytical chemistry and assay selection/development such as MS, ELSD, NMR and other techniques required to evaluation enzyme performance
Understanding and practice of applying GLP and SHE working in the laboratory
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
An awareness of green chemistry and sustainability principles and tools and their application towards the development and manufacture of drug substances
Understanding of the overall drug development process from discovery through to launch
Experience of discovery and early development phases of the drug development process and the contribution Pharmaceutical Development makes to the development and launch of medicines
